<strong>developing a common port network in the Adriatic- Ionian area<\/strong>, based on the concept of \u201csmart, green and integrated port\u201d and linking the small ports of the involved cross-border countries.<\/p>\n<p>The main project activities are the following: mapping of port services offered by the network of regional minor ports and their upload online; mapping of multimodal transport services of the territory with special attention to the port-city connection; implementation of a unique platform (between Greece and Italy) to offer information services related the transport services linking the two countries; realization of non-infrastructural interventions in the ports of Mola di Bari and Otranto on the Italian side and Mytikas, Nydri and Nafpakto on the Greek side.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/greece-italy.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">AI SMART project<\/a> is being implemented under:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Priority axis 3<\/strong>: Cross Border and Sustainable Transport System<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Thematic Objectives\/Priorities 07<\/strong>: Promoting sustainable transport and removing bottlenecks in key network ifrastructures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Investment Priorities 7b<\/strong>: Enhancing regional mobility by connecting secondary and tertiary nodes to TEN-T infrastructure, including multimodal nodes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Specific Objective 3.1<\/strong>: Boosting maritime transport, short-sea shipping capacity and cross-borde ferry connectivity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The &#8220;smart&#8221; tourist shelters that will be created under the project, but also the development of the network as a whole, will act as a significant lever of growth, producing multiplier benefits for local communities, both economically and socially. Furthermore, the construction of these port infrastructures will allow the decongestion of major infrastructures, such as the existing ports in the reference areas, but in particular the removal of the environmental burden from the movement and mooring of yachts.<\/p>\n<p>AI SMART haw a total budget of <strong>17.250.000,00 <\/strong><strong>\u20ac<\/strong> and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund for 85% (ERDF) and National Public Funding for 15%.
